Biography
Ava Ng’s research interests include pediatric motor speech disorders, language development, audiovisual speech processing, and pediatric traumatic brain injury. She is currently conducting a meta-analysis on the impact of naming therapy for individuals with primary progressive aphasia.
She is completing the Integrated Graduate Studies Program at Case Western Reserve University and will earn her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences, with a minor in Psychology, in May 2026. As an undergraduate, she was a member of the School Transition After Traumatic Brain Injury Lab, which examined children’s long-term outcomes following traumatic brain injury and their experiences returning to school with the BrainSTEPs program. She is now pursuing her master’s degree in the Communication Sciences program at CWRU and is a graduate research assistant in the Communication and Speech Emergence Laboratory.
Ava has completed clinical experiences with both pediatric and adult populations, providing therapy in areas such as speech, language, stuttering, and social communication. Outside of academics, she enjoys painting, photography, and spending time with her dog.
